About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team at our Long Term Care facility. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing staff by performing basic patient care activities and related nonprofessional services.
• Attends to patient’s personal care and needs, such as Foley care, bathing, hair washing, clean linens, mouth care, back rubs, etc., and documents as appropriate.
• Aids nursing personnel in treating, lifting, turning, and positioning, feeding, ambulating, and weighing patients.
• Aids in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment.
• Assists with departmental cleaning activities.
• Communicates in a timely and accurate manner with staff, patients/families, physicians, and other ancillary personnel.
• Assists with other tasks as requested.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification.
• Current CPR certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to deal understandingly and tactfully with ill geriatric residents and their families.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with personnel in other departments.

Benefits

Starting pay range: $18.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

This facility operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
