About the role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will assist licensed care staff in performing a variety of clinical and technical tasks for assigned residents. This includes helping with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, dining/tray services, escort services, taking vital signs and weights, and other care-related duties as assigned. You will also participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities and report resident changes of condition as they occur.
On-call pay rate: $23/hr.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living for residents
- Perform light housekeeping and dining/tray services
- Provide escort services for residents
- Take vital signs and weights
- Carry out other care-related duties as assigned
- Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities
- Notify care team of resident changes of condition
Requirements
- Current state certification as a CNA
- Experience is required; prior experience with geriatric clients is preferred
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to become certified
- Food handlers certification and Certified Medical Technician/Certified Medication Aide certification, where required
- Basic computer skills or ability to learn
