About the Role

A certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic care services under the supervision of a registered nurse, playing a vital role in delivering quality patient care while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and support patient care according to hospital policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked patient care environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient tasks.
• Provide leadership and support the development of other CNAs.
• Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Effective communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Heavy work involving lifting and moving objects.
• Exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
