About the Role
A certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic care services under the supervision of a registered nurse, playing a vital role in delivering quality patient care while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living and support patient care according to hospital policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked patient care environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient tasks.
- Provide leadership and support the development of other CNAs.
- Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state CNA certification.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Effective communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Heavy work involving lifting and moving objects.
- Exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
