CNA IHA

Summary

Affords assistance with resident/patient care needs including oral hygiene, bathing, nail care, shaving, hair care, and bowel and bladder needs. Ensures nutritional and activity needs are met. Adheres to infection control standards and policies. Treats residents, visitors, and employees courteously. Accepts and organizes assignments from LPN/RN. Reports resident concerns to LPN/RN and ensures their needs are met. Performs CNA skills such as vital signs, Foley care, specimen collection, and uses lifts and equipment. Maintains current knowledge and competency in CNA practice. Adheres to attendance policy and enhances team effectiveness.

Requirements

• Current Arkansas CNA certification
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, or a certificate in Nursing Assistant
• Long Term Care experience preferred
• Ability to communicate, speak, and write effectively
• Enthusiasm, dedication, and enjoyment of working with elderly adults
