Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the Inpatient Unit located in Fort Wayne.
- Work 24 hours each week, Monday through Friday, with Weekend rotations.
- Perform tasks such as giving client care, personal hygiene, and grooming, taking and recording vital signs, meal preparations, and assisting with feeding.
- Participate in patient care conferences and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the patient care area.
- Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and confidentiality of personal matters.
- Attend educational opportunities and in-services to improve clinical practice.
- Be willing to be cross-trained in other departments within the agency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of 105 hours CNA Certification program.
- Current/active CNA License and minimum six (6) months (one [1] year preferred) CNA/HHA experience, within the last twenty-four (24) months, in the home health, long-term care, or hospital setting.
- RN nursing students who have successfully completed courses with a grade of “C” or better and who currently possess an active CNA License.
- Must hold current CPR certification or obtain it within the orientation period.
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and/or safety of self or others in the workplace.
- Must have a current motor vehicle operator’s license and have access to an automobile with current automobile insurance coverage.

Pay
The published compensation range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The base pay may be higher or lower based on demonstrated job-related experience.

Work 24 hours each week, Monday through Friday, with Weekend rotations.
