CNA Hospice Full-time

About the Role

Join Altus Hospice as a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) and provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Coverage area includes South Austin, Bastrop, San Marcos, Buda, Kyle, and Wimberley.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care by following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Attend promptly to patient and family/caregiver requests with compassionate support.
• Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and expertise in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Current unencumbered C.N.A. certification in the state of employment.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long-term care setting (hospice experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Pay

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour (average pay range). Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and specific role responsibilities.
