About the role
The position involves providing personal and hygienic care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and collaborating with the patient, family, and healthcare team to deliver nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal and hygienic care as per the care plan and basic care standards.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Ensures privacy and respects patient's dignity and property.
- Completes assignments in a timely manner.
- Follows the plan of care assigned by the Registered Nurse.
- Relays critical information to the appropriate staff regarding the patient's condition.
- Confers with the primary nurse on the original plan of care and any subsequent updates.
- Documents patient status and care of services furnished.
- Reports observed changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.
- Reports abnormalities in vital signs to the Registered Nurse.
- Utilizes supplies effectively to ensure cost containment.
- Performs treatments and procedures according to specific standards.
- Identifies the stages of death and dying.
Requirements
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Licensure as required by state board where services will be provided.
- CPR certification within 30 days of date of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
