CNA - Hospice

About the Role

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking Hospice CNAs for our growing team in Chicago, IL (60641). This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5 PM with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record
• Able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assist in feeding the patient
• Provide proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager

Pay

Up to $26/hour, based on years of experience.
