Primary Responsibilities
- May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including peri care and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair.
- Care of patients on bedpan, commode and toilet.
- Reports observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
- Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.
- Absorbs and assists with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care.
- Functions in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
Required Qualification
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation.
- MD: Must be certified by Maryland State Board of Nursing (CNA).
- State-Specific Requirement: State-specific requirement.
Preferred Qualification
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
- 6+ months of home care experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently.
Pay and Benefits
- The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $21.15 per hour based on full-time employment.
