CNA Home Care - Memory Care Caregiver

About the role

Senior Helpers of Chatham County is hiring experienced CNAs and Caregivers to provide one-on-one care for seniors in their homes. The position is full‑time (30+ hours per week) with shifts from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wilmington Island. Ideal candidates are compassionate, dependable, and take pride in helping seniors live safely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care based on each client's needs
• Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Mobility and transfer assistance
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Transportation and errands
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship and emotional support
• Reporting changes in client condition
• Memory care support using a Positive Approach to Care (including Senior Gems Alzheimer's Dementia training)

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification OR minimum 2 years of professional caregiving experience with a licensed home care provider
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Current auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Current TB test
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication

Pay

Pay rates: $16–$17/hour for 4‑ to 12‑hour shifts; $20/hour for 2‑hour shifts; $30/hour for 1‑hour shifts. Holiday pay at time‑and‑a‑half. Performance bonuses available.

Schedule

Full‑time schedule: 30+ hours per week, 7 a.m.–2 p.m. on Wilmington Island. Flexible full‑time/part‑time options with day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
