About the role

Join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) at Family Life Care. You will provide compassionate and professional care in patients' homes, choosing from various assignments such as long-term care or assisting with recovery from injury or illness. We serve the entire community, from children to senior citizens, with a special focus on supporting veterans.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Prepare meals and ensure clients receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
  • Perform patient observation to monitor changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the client's living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, ensuring safety and promoting cognitive engagement.

Requirements

  • Current Florida CNA license or 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a state-approved school.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance.
  • Current TB test with negative results.
  • Ability to pass a Level II background check.
  • Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
  • Ability to perform meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning duties.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and families.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.
  • Working smartphone.

Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Education and awareness aligned with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration standards.
