CNA HHA Caregiver for One on One Senior Care

About the role

Assisting Hands Home Care is looking for CNAs and HHAs who want to provide meaningful one-on-one care for seniors and adults in their homes. This posting is for caregiver opportunities in the Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Johns County, Jacksonville, and surrounding service areas.

Responsibilities

• Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
• Common responsibilities include:
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Transfers and mobility support
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping to keep the client's living area safe and sanitary
• Companionship and conversation
• Making medication reminders
• Helping with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting concerns or changes to the office

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or classroom HHA certificate
• Successful Level II Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV/AIDS training
• Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Paid caregiving experience with seniors or adults needing personal care
• Strong communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and caring attitude
• Comfort with pets preferred

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule options based on your availability and client needs
• Part-time and full-time opportunities
• Daytime, evening, weekend, and some overnight shifts
• Minimum 4-hour shifts, with longer 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available
• W-2 employment with payroll taxes handled through payroll
• Typical pay of $16 to $18 per hour for most cases
• Higher rates may be available for select assignments
