Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as baths, transfer wheelchairs, or ambulating
- Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home
- Light housekeeping, and assisting with personal care
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- Medications reminders
- Engage patients in range of motion exercises or other activities
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two-year prior professional experience
- Driver’s license required or IDCPR certification required
- Must have Current TB test
- Live Scan and register with the California Home Care Registry (HCA)
