Responsibilities
- Aid residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance to residents with mobility issues, including transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and other relevant information in electronic health records.
- Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to nursing staff or supervisors promptly.
- Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and provide companionship to improve residents' quality of life.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Current CNA certification in Kentucky required.
