About the role
The Home Care Aide provides personal, nursing, and household assistance to patients in their homes, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transfers, bathing, grooming, and mobility
- Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs
- Offer companionship and engage in activities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Maintain accurate records and report changes in patient condition
- Follow the Plan of Care and complete tasks via electronic documentation
- Use equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- Compassionate attitude towards patients
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the service area
Additional requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a TB test
- Ensure no substantial findings on the Nurse Aide Registry
