CNA - Day Shift - Med/Surg

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a clinical position responsible for the delivery of direct patient care, utilizing the established standards of care and standards of practice for the patient population it serves. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, the CNA strives to support a patient-centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of and the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care according to established standards of care and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with all members of the health-care team to support a patient-centered culture.
• Gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of and the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC.
• Exercise independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified responsibilities in the delivery of quality patient care.
• Function under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and WMRMC's Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited certified nursing assistant program.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• One (1) year previous experience in patient care setting preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in the state of Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
