About the Role
South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Big Spring clinical team. This full-time position is ideal for a dependable, compassionate healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients and supporting providers in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information.
- Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
- Assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Document appropriate information in the electronic health record.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.
- Perform additional clinical duties within the scope of your certification and training.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or Medical Assistant certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer and electronic health record experience preferred.
