CNA Class- Training

About the role

This is an intense, 17 day course designed to help dedicated, compassionate people succeed in completing the Nurse Aide Training program.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes at NHC HealthCare Training Center from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for weeks one and two.
• Attend clinical rotations at NHC HealthCare Johnson City from Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM for week three.
• Maintain a grade average of 85 to successfully complete the course.
• Complete homework assignments.

Requirements

• Purchase two uniforms (Scrubs Dark Grey Scrub Bottoms and Burgundy Scrub Tops) for the class by week three.
• Bring clean athletic shoes or nursing shoes.
• Bring a wrist watch with a second hand.
• Bring a foldout cardboard presentation board (found in poster board section).
• Bring black pens, pencils, notebook, and highlighters.
• Wear modest street clothes to class (no shorts, sleeveless shirts or halter tops, please).
• No facial piercings are to be worn to class except for earrings by female students.

Qualifications

Employment opportunities may be available upon successful completion of the course. We will run a criminal background check as well as consult the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. No one with a felony conviction, certain misdemeanor charges, and/or found on the abuse registry can be admitted to the class.
