About the role
Cayuga Health System was formed by joining two longstanding, independent hospitals into a cohesive health‑care network that provides seamless, comprehensive, community‑centered care for residents of central New York. With the recent affiliation of Arnot Health and the creation of Xtensys, which focuses on integration and strategic operations, the system is positioned to become the premier care organization across New York. At Schuyler Hospital/Seneca View we offer a Certified Nursing Assistant program that includes the opportunity to work as a Resident Assistant before starting the class. We are seeking individuals who wish to further their education in the healthcare field.
Responsibilities
- Training will take place at our Seneca View location in Montour Falls, NY.
- After completion of the class, new CNAs will be placed on evening/night shift and weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completion
- Minimum age of 18 years
Qualifications
Individuals must display patience, strong attention to detail, empathy, and compassion.
Skills
- Ability to push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds
- Capable of long periods of standing, walking, and lifting supplies
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
Pay
$16.50 per hour
Schedule
- Class time: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Work schedule after certification: evening/night shifts and weekends
