CNA Class

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention, encouraging residents to maintain or attain independence.
• Support residents with non-nursing tasks such as transporting in wheelchairs, passing linen, making beds, tray delivery, and call light responses.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Report environmental issues and assist in locating missing items.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to nursing staff.
• Answer call lights promptly and refer complex needs to nursing staff.
• Welcome and orient new residents and their families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with senior living environments preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residents' rights and facility policies.
• Compliance with safety and infection control procedures.
• Ability to protect resident belongings and report missing items.
• Observation skills to identify changes in residents' condition.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of senior health and wellness.

Pay

• CNA Class: $13.73 per hour.
• After CNA Class Completion: $16.00 per hour.
• Licensed CNA: $18.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential + wage pass through.

Schedule

• CNA Class: 8 hours, 11:00am - 7:30pm, every other weekend.
• After CNA Class Completion: 8 hours, 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm, every other weekend.
