About the role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) positions at GSS IA Lemars provide comprehensive care to residents in a long-term care setting. Both roles are committed to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care in a Christian environment.
Responsibilities
- Serves as caregiver to the resident during scheduled work periods.
- Provides nursing care and daily living assistance according to the resident's care plan.
- Delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs.
- Assists with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
- Documents resident interactions and care outcomes.
- Communicates resident's condition and care concerns to the charge nurse.
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and vital signs.
- Performs housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean.
- Aids in wellness and recreational programs and encourages resident participation.
- Participates in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of starting the position.
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits and all department-specific required certifications.
- Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license.
Qualifications

Pay
$17.00 - $25.50 per hour, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
Part time, 28.00 weekly hours, 8 Hours - Day Shifts.
