APREVA HOSPICE is seeking a passionate, dedicated Hospice CNA to join our team in San Diego, CA. Our hospice CNAs provide dignity, comfort, and support at a critical time in people’s lives.
Our Company Apreva Hospice is located at 3333 Camino Del Rio South, Ste. 400, San Diego, CA 92108, and our coverage area is San Diego County. Our schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities
As a Hospice CNA, you will:
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning
- Monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises, and safe equipment use
- Help with self-administered medications per state regulations
- Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens and assisting with meals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Meet the training requirements of the state of practice
- Have a minimum of six months of experience, including providing personal care
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, with 16 hours of classroom training completed prior to 16 hours of practical training
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- Be able to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Understand hospice philosophy and be comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
- Be able to work with little direct supervision
- Be able to handle death and dying
- Have strong oral and written communication skills and good organizational skills
Pay
The salary range for this role is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour.
