Shift: 8 Hours – Evening (2 pm – 10:30 pm)
Job Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours/week; every other weekend and holiday; PTO accrued every two weeks
Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as caregiver to residents in long‑term care, providing resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Duties include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital sign collection, psychosocial support, transferring, repositioning, range‑of‑motion exercises, food preparation, dining assistance, documentation, communication of condition changes, specimen collection, housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational programs. The CNA also assists nursing staff with procedures as needed and may serve on departmental committees or task forces.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or ability to obtain certification within four months of hire (training provided)
- Completion of yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually)
- Maintenance of all required department certifications
- When applicable, registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
- May require Sanford Category II Driver classification, a valid driver’s license, and medical qualification for driving duties

Pay
Salary Range: $18.50 – $25.50 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500
