Community Aide
This CNA position provides essential, hands-on care to clients in their homes to help them remain safe, healthy, and independent.
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Helping with basic household tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition to nurses or supervisors.
- Supporting comfort and safety.
- Offering companionship.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Basic knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and patient rights.
- Ability to observe, document, and report changes in a client’s condition to nursing staff or supervisors.
- Career-oriented, respectful, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to clients’ homes.
- Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required trainings.
Bonuses
- CNA - $1,000 | HHA - $1,500
- To be paid in two increments at 6 months and 1 year of employment.
Pay Rate
- CNA - $18.15+/hour
- HHA - $20.15+/hour
Shift Differentials
- $1.00 Weekdays | 5:00pm – 8:00am
- $1.50 Weekends | 8:00am – 5:00pm
- $2.00 Weekends | 5:00pm – 8:00am
Hours
Monday - Friday | 5:00am - 2:00pm
