CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - Bethany - PT - Day Shift

About the role

Good Samaritan – Bethany is a 79-bed long-term skilled care and transitional care facility in Brainerd, Minnesota. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will serve as caregiver to residents during your scheduled work period, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Schedule

• Part-time: 48 hours per bi-weekly pay period (24 hours/week)
• Day shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays
• Additional weekend incentive of $1.25/hour
• $3,500 sign-on bonus (if eligibility requirements are met)

Pay

Salary range: $20.00 – $25.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining/recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment; provide range of motion and passive exercises.
• Support food preparation and dining to create a positive experience; assist residents with meals, snacks, water, and supplements.
• Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary needs; communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs; encourage resident participation.
• May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or ability to become certified within four months of hire (training and certification provided by facility).
• Satisfactorily complete yearly competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
• Maintain all required certifications, including UAP Registry where applicable.
• For roles requiring driving, must meet Sanford Category II Driver requirements (motor vehicle report, valid driver’s license, and medical qualification per Sanford Driving Policy).
