CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
About the role
Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri – Primrose is opening its newest residential treatment facility in Saint Robert, Missouri, and is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team as Mental Health Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Build positive, therapeutic relationships with adolescents.
- Observe, document, and report resident behaviors, moods, and physical conditions.
- Absorb residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and personal care.
- Obtain vital signs and assist nursing staff with routine medical care.
- Escort residents to meals, school, therapy groups, recreation, and appointments.
- Teach and model healthy coping skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Maintain a safe, clean, structured, and trauma-informed environment.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies (paid training provided).
- Assist with physical interventions only when necessary and according to facility training.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Active Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and assist with resident care and interventions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or social services.
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Background in psychology, nursing, human services, criminal justice, education, or social work.
