CNA Caregiver

About the role

Senior Helpers of Silver Spring is looking for a compassionate, skilled CNA to provide personalized in-home care for seniors in the Silver Spring area.

What You'll Do

• Support clients with everyday activities that promote independence and quality of life — including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, grocery shopping, medication reminders, and organizing daily routines.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of each client.
• Follow individualized care plans and keep the care team informed of any changes in the client's condition or needs.
• Communicate any changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate team members.
• Set up for success with hands-on onboarding, orientation, and skills training tailored to your clients' needs.
• Offer industry-leading specialized training for those working with clients living with dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's.

What We're Looking For

• A compassionate and dependable professional passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
• Hold a CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) license.
• Be certified CPR and first aid (or willing to get certified).
• Have a recent tuberculosis (TB) test or chest X-ray.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
• Manage schedules effectively while providing exceptional client-centered care.
• Bring a caring, patient, and positive attitude to every client interaction.
• Experience caring for clients with dementia and/or Parkinson’s disease preferred.

Schedule & Pay

• Competitive pay ranging from $17/hour based on experience and qualifications.
• Available shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and live-in assignments.
