CNA Care Center - Weekend Days

About the role

Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide exceptional care at their Hospice House in Ocala and Summerfield.

Responsibilities

• Aid patients in maintaining good personal hygiene and creating a healthy, clean, and safe environment.
• Prepare and serve regular and special diets as directed.
• Assist with feeding patients as needed.
• Shampoo hair and shave (males) as requested by patient and family or as indicated on the plan of care.
• Give partial or complete baths or showers and offer or perform frequent oral hygiene.
• Change bed linens as per Hospice of Marion County practices or at patient/family request.
• Perform other tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, kitchen cleanup, or other duties as needed.

Requirements

• One to three years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License (only required if choosing to drive oneself).
• Must be able to remain flexible and work at alternate facilities upon business needs for reassignment.

Qualifications

• Must have an active, valid driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance if choosing to drive oneself.
• Must be willing to travel between facilities based on business needs.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.

Pay

Competitive pay is offered based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, 7am to 7p on Saturday and Sunday, part-time 24 hours a week, working at main locations Hall House and Brandley House.
