CNA Balfour Med/Surg 32-hour days (4–8-hour shifts)

About the role

Performing under the direction of the RN/LPN and as a member of the unit-based patient care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs duties of direct and indirect patient care. They function within policies, procedures and guidelines of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in accordance with Joint Commission, CDC and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Glucometry
• EKG’s
• Weights
• Intake/Output data collection
• Transport
• Restocking and/or obtaining patient care supplies
• Responding in a timely manner to the needs of patients and family members
• Taking a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Certification as a nursing assistant
• BLS certification required
• Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served

Pay

Salary range: $17.64–$26.58 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include the value of the benefits package.
