About the role

Provides personal care to residents according to written service plans.

Responsibilities

• Review the logbook and assignment sheets for updates at the start of each shift.
• Assure that residents are neat, clean, and properly clothed.
• Assist with bathroom and hygiene needs.
• Tidy apartment and proactively assess potential safety concerns.
• Proactively assess potential safety concerns in common areas of the building and report to appropriate parties when needed.
• Transport residents to and from activities and dining.
• Provide SAMM assistance within the allotted time frame (if applicable).
• Accurately document SAMM timely (if applicable).
• Give a verbal report of shift change to the following shift.
• Prepare morning coffee and serve breakfast as residents are ready.
• Serve lunch and dinner; assist with setting tables.
• Encourage residents to take part in mealtimes; assist with plate and utensil orientation.
• Clean up, load, and empty dishwasher; clean and disinfect tables and counters.
• Launder napkins and dish towels.
• Provide one-on-one support when needed to engage residents in activities or provide a quiet space to calm residents.
• Facilitate and assist with activity programming.
• Apply an excellent customer service approach in all aspects of the job.
• Work with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Certification as a CNA or Home Health Aide in the state of work.
• One year’s experience in an elder care setting preferred.

Pay

Rate of pay starting at $18.50/hour

Schedule

Full-time, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
