About the Role
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Acute Care, providing direct patient support in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, intake/output, and reporting abnormal findings.
- Supporting nursing staff with patient care procedures and treatments.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Assisting with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper techniques.
- Providing emotional support to patients and families.
- Documenting patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Following infection control, safety, and facility policies.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
- BLS certification required.
- Preferred experience in acute or hospital settings.
- Knowledge of patient care standards, medical terminology, and hospital routines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and observational skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedicated to compassionate and respectful patient-centered care.
