This Opportunity: RMA’s team is growing, and we have opportunities for Construction Materials Testing Technicians in Hollywood, FL to perform field inspections and observations for commercial, industrial, and transportation related construction projects. We are seeking construction professionals looking to branch their career into testing and inspection. Your Impact Perform testing on general industrial, residential and commercial construction sites and facilitiesInterpret project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirementsPerform soil density testing using density gauges in accordance with ASTM and project specifications on site atPerform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specificationsPrepare and submit digitally written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations, calculations and resultsObserve proof rolls, undercut operations, perform footing inspections, and inspect rebarTest and work in accordance with Company safety policiesMonitor work procedures for compliance with project specificationsInteract with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sitesPerform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year experience in a construction/project site roleValid Driver’s LicenseReliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled timesAbility to prepare reports and documentationStrong written and verbal communication skillsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required, including at least every other Saturday.Must pass physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy Preferred Qualifications 1 year+ Construction Materials Testing experience either on commercial projects or on transportation construction projectsACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)Ability to evaluate soil subgrade prior to placement of fill and perform standard soil ProctorAbility to read and understand site grading drawings Physical Demands Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to workAbility to stoop, kneel and to routinely lift and carry 50 poundsClean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehiclesAble to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat, 8-12 hours.
