CMT - Certified Medication Technician, Insulin Admin. certified FULL TIME

Responsibilities

• Passes medication and provides treatments under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain a familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences.
• Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
• Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans.
• Affords assistance with medications and/or treatments as assigned and allowed by regulation.
• Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Assists in the dining room during meal times.
• Maintains a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
• Assists with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities.
• Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures.
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT).
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration and infection control practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
