About the role
As a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) at Lorien Taneytown, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will safely administer medications while providing compassionate, resident-centered care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is caring, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service while helping residents achieve their highest level of wellness.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, personal care, and other supportive needs as appropriate.
- Promote resident safety, comfort, and independence while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Follow infection prevention, medication management, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality resident care.
- Provide compassionate support and meaningful interactions that enhance residents' daily experiences.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all resident interactions.
Requirements
- An active Certified Medication Tech license through the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule
- Full/Part/PRN Time Hours
- Days, Evenings
- Every other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
Pay
Competitive pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience). Same Day Pay for all employees.
