CMT Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing Construction Material Testing (CMT) team in Odessa, Texas. Individuals in this position will work directly with Project Managers and Engineering Staff.

Responsibilities

• Train new field staff
• Mentor junior staff
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Coordinate personnel and equipment
• Conduct critical observations and material testing
• Prepare CMT proposals
• Prepare final inspection reports
• Perform regular field work

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–5 years of CMT experience
• Certifications such as NICET, ICC, ACI, etc. are preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects at the same time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation
