About the role
Content Management System (CMS) Specialists play a critical role in producing Lexipol’s solutions—policy manuals, training and app content, and related collateral—for public safety agencies and officials. This role is within the Content Quality and Operations team. The CMS Specialist loads, tests, and publishes content within Lexipol’s platforms, ensuring that all content meets the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and relevance. In the rapidly evolving digital content landscape, a CMS Specialist’s ability to learn new technologies is essential. Responsibilities
- Use Lexipol’s proprietary content management systems to publish policy content efficiently and accurately.
- Apply AP and in-house style guidelines rigorously in all authoring, editing, proofreading, and publication tasks.
- Ensure content is accessible and formatted correctly.
- Use Microsoft Word to review and manage documents with precision according to workflow requirements.
- Track data needed for key performance metrics related to content production and content engagement.
- Collaborate effectively with the CMS Specialists and other Content Quality and Operations team members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines without compromising on quality or accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Systems, Information Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficient authoring in content management systems and capable of publishing and testing content within such platforms.
- Ability to balance speed with meticulous attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
- Excellent knowledge of standard English, with proven editing, proofreading, and content testing skills. Familiarity with AP style.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside content strategists, editors, legal professionals, and public safety experts preferred.
- Innately curious, consistently seeking out new knowledge and experiences, with the confidence to experiment with new technology and technical capabilities in support of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Wrike, Trello, Confluence, JIRA, or other similar workflow management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
- Experience with Account Engagement (Pardot, Hubspot), or similar marketing content automation and targeting tools is a plus.

The Environment
Flexible work-from-home environment, with expected availability during the workweek generally during daytime hours. You will report to the Sr. Director of Content Quality & Operations, who understands the technical and business aspects of the team and is committed to building partnerships, continuous improvements, and supporting the success of each team member. Team members are supportive of one another and are there to provide assistance.
Pay
Hourly rate for this role is $30 - $32/hr., based on credentials and experience.
Schedule
This is a part-time, 1099 role requiring 28-30 hours per week.
