CMM Programmer

Connexion Systems & Engineering is hiring for a direct-hire, full-time position in Somerville, MA. Applicants must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulation.

About the role

We're seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing organization. This role focuses on strong, hands-on PC-DMIS programming to develop robust inspection programs and mentor less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS
• Create inspection routines for machined components at multiple manufacturing stages
• Ensure inspections accurately reflect GD&T requirements
• Collaborate daily with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality issues
• Maintain inspection documentation, reports, and non-conformance records
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor junior CMM programmers and inspectors
• Help drive quality, efficiency, and best practices throughout the inspection process

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of CMM programming experience preferred (3+ years considered for strong candidates)
• Extensive experience programming with PC-DMIS
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with machined components and precision inspection
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
• Must be eligible to work in an ITAR/EAR-regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience inspecting components manufactured through turning and milling processes
• Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques
• Experience working with titanium, nickel, and aluminum components

Pay

$90,000 - $120,000 annually (up to $140,000 for exceptional candidates)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday | 1st shift | 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
