CMM Programmer - 1st Shift

About the role

The CMM Programmer at Williams International is responsible for programming, validating programs, performing inspections, and mentoring team members. This role supports the development and production of high-quality products through the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

Responsibilities

• Create and validate launch pad capable programs for production TMI.
• Create and validate CMM programs for all First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
• Prepare FAI packages including all required documentation, inspection data, and update the inspection database as needed.
• Perform final inspections using various inspection gaging as required.
• Mentor others in setting up and operating CMM machines.
• Familiar with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.

Requirements

• High School or GED, two or more years of technical education or equivalent plus a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
• Effective interaction with team members, customers, and all levels of management.
• Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret complex blueprints, quality, and process specifications.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
• Capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
• Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.

Skills

• Familiarity with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
