About the role
The CMM Programmer at Williams International is responsible for programming, validating programs, performing inspections, and mentoring team members. This role supports the development and production of high-quality products through the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
Responsibilities
- Create and validate launch pad capable programs for production TMI.
- Create and validate CMM programs for all First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
- Prepare FAI packages including all required documentation, inspection data, and update the inspection database as needed.
- Perform final inspections using various inspection gaging as required.
- Mentor others in setting up and operating CMM machines.
- Familiar with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
Requirements
- High School or GED, two or more years of technical education or equivalent plus a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
- Effective interaction with team members, customers, and all levels of management.
- Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret complex blueprints, quality, and process specifications.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- Capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
- Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Skills
- Familiarity with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
