About the role

The CME Tech Shop Support is a key member of the Corporate Marketing Equipment Team responsible for troubleshooting and performing repairs on all vending equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform internal, external, and cosmetic repairs on all vending machines and vending coolers.
  • Test, vend, and operate all equipment to ensure it operates properly and passes all operational quality assurance standards.
  • Visually inspect all equipment to ensure it meets cosmetic quality assurance standards.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to the remanufacturing of equipment while working in a safe and productive manner.
  • Use hand tools, OHM meter, saws, and drills to repair assigned machines. Techs are responsible for all tools issued; Buffalo Rock will replace worn-out tools due to normal use.
  • Utilize an electronic tablet to record all aspects of the repair and remanufacturing process in the Maintenance Connection program.
  • Meet or exceed productivity expectations set by the supervisor based on equipment type and competency level.
  • Cross-train to work where needed to meet workload demands.
  • Wash, sand, install decals, and prep equipment for painting when required.
  • Paint inside and outside of machines using appropriate paints, following all painting SOPs.
  • Work overtime based on workload demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as sweeping, mopping, banding equipment, emptying trash, recycling cardboard/metal, and cleaning offices.
  • Work outside of your immediate department when workload requires it.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical and moral conduct while representing Buffalo Rock Company.
  • Engage in continuous self-improvement through Buffalo Rock-provided training (web-based, in-house, or other methods).
  • Successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including online and facilitated training.
  • Take reasonable precautions to protect the Company from damages, theft, or liabilities and ensure the safety of employees, customers, and property.

Work environment

Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Previous mechanical experience.

  • Basic knowledge of equipment/tools needed to fulfill essential tasks.
