CMA / LPN - UT Primary Care - Jamestown

About the role

University Physicians Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at UT Primary Care Jamestown. The role supports physicians and a Nurse Practitioner, covering front‑desk duties and providing clinical assistance. Candidates must be detail‑oriented, able to work under deadlines in a fast‑paced office, and prioritize patients. The clinic shares a building with a new Free‑Standing Emergency Department opening in July.

Responsibilities

• Float inside the practice assisting providers and the clinical team with patient care.
• Handle scheduling, prior authorizations, and obtain pre‑certifications for MRIs and CT scans.
• Communicate test results to patients and providers.
• Perform phlebotomy, administer vaccines and injections, and perform various other clinical tasks.
• Provide front‑desk coverage and clinical support for the Nurse Practitioner.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients, and their families while conveying a positive image of the practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of medical experience.
• LPN or Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm CST.
