CMA, Front and Back Office - Primary Care Cartersville

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Perform front office and back office functions, with duty assignments varying as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required. In lieu of a degree/certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required upon hire; BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.
