About the role

As the local expert in automation and digital transformation, you plan and organize cross-functional project teams and develop plans to execute strategies to meet business needs. You use your technical foundation and knowledge of the local strategy to drive digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and execute the local automation and digitalization agenda, leading initiatives according to agreed priorities.
  • Deploy capital projects, ensuring they stay on budget, with senior supply chain leaders.
  • Work with local engineering teams on automation and digitalization projects, monitor project progress, and participate in optimization efforts, incorporating feedback for general adaptation.
  • Participate in a digital community of practice, contributing your expertise.
  • Develop, align, and execute site roadmaps for automation upgrades and digital manufacturing transformation.
  • Lead a multifunctional team to design, implement, and fully utilize new automation and digital solutions that provide strong benefits for the cluster.
  • Execute project management responsibilities for capital projects as part of automation and digital manufacturing transformation.
  • Own benefit and saving tracking throughout project progression.
  • Manage day-to-day site automation within the cluster, including cybersecurity technology following MINT standards.
  • Ensure the site follows company standards for automation, infrastructure (MINT), and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and execute site roadmaps for automation and CCN infrastructure, including delivery of shared infrastructure (IDC and CCN components).
  • Serve as the issue escalation point for automation, CCN automation infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
  • Develop site and cluster budgets and manage spending for support, maintenance, and lifecycle management in line with standards.
  • Coordinate business involvement during technology lifecycle to support changes, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Own the business continuity plan, including disaster recovery of CCN systems, and ensure alignment with enterprise recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Cluster MDS lead and Plant Champion (Plant Maintenance Automation lead).
  • Develop capability for cybersecurity and automation within the cluster.
  • Develop and execute the Process, Control & Information Systems (PC&IS) roadmap, including digitalization tools to increase the Digital Maturity Index, considering:
    • Computerization
    • Connectivity
    • Visibility
    • Transparency
    • Predictive capacity
    • Adaptability
  • Escalate desired exceptions or improvement ideas to the regional Automation Lead.
  • Actively participate in global/regional automation, systems development, and security communications.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge in automation operating areas, including project engineering.
  • Expertise in IoT, Industry 4.0, and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Responsibility for manufacturing automation systems and cybersecurity, maintaining high system reliability for existing and newly deployed systems.
  • Application of global automation and information systems standards and procedures.
  • Ongoing management of the safe state of related systems, including financial planning for migrating obsolete systems.
  • Support for automation-driven deployments and new line/equipment integration.
