Club Tobias Aftercare Aide

Job Summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a Club Tobias Aftercare Aide to support students in their after-school program. The position reflects and supports the mission and values of the Catholic school community.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively engage with students during after-school program hours
• Assist with snack time, homework support, indoor and outdoor play, and organized activities
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
• Monitor student behavior and ensure the safety and well-being of all students
• Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students, staff, and parents
• Communicate effectively with the After Care Coordinator, teachers, and parents
• Absorb and organize the aftercare space before and after program hours
• Follow all school policies and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols

Job Requirements

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively with children in a group setting
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Warm, patient, and consistent interactions with students
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education

Preferred Experience

• Working with children in a school, childcare, or camp setting
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Practicing Catholic (not required)
