Position Summary

The CLUB Customer Service Outfitter provides world‑class customer service for guests while presenting the benefits of becoming a CLUB Member. The Outfitter acts as the product expert, handling account servicing, acquiring and activating new members, CLUB sales, customer experience, peer coaching, influencing, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Support a strong commitment to world‑class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
  • Proactively greet customers and present the opportunity to become a Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s CLUB Member, or provide current members with a unique, exclusive experience.
  • Execute all Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s CLUB operational and compliance programs.
  • Demonstrate products to customers.
  • Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales.
  • Help meet metric goals and objectives for self and store.
  • Maintain accurate CLUB inventory and keep the CLUB booth clean and organized.
  • Provide full CLUB Member experience, including processing payments, answering account questions, and processing applications.
  • Submit daily feedback and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Offer peer coaching, recognition, and support as a CLUB advocate and representative.
  • Provide service to all areas of the store based on business need.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in a customer‑service environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
  • Self‑motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and/or walk during shift to assist customers on the sales floor.
  • Hear well enough to constantly communicate with others.
  • Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Lift and move objects up to 20 lb (light work).
  • Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, or step stools.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgment

Performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, makes occasional independent judgments, and often recommends improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
