About the role

Clow Valve's Machine Shop has an opening for a small valve assembler.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Positions parts and components using work instructions
• Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality
• Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment
• Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed
• Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment once complete
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as required

Qualifications

• Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, lifting & twisting of up to 12 times per hour
• Standing greater than 6 hours per day
• Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left
• Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, and utilize tools
• Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
• Ability to work with hands in water
• Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered
• Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots
