Cloud Transformation Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Transformation Architect to design and govern cloud-native solutions across compute, networking, data, identity, and security domains on a major cloud platform. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, security architects, and engineering teams to translate strategic objectives into pragmatic, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform
• Translate strategic objectives into pragmatic, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, security architects, and engineering teams
• Lead architecture reviews and influence engineering direction
• Produce formal architecture artifacts and present them to senior leadership
• Drive FinOps and cost transparency initiatives

Requirements

• Eight or more years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture roles
• Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security primitives
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation programs
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of containerization, serverless, and managed data services
• Cloud architecture certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple cloud architecture certifications
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
• Exposure to regulated industries with strict cloud compliance requirements

$150,000–$175,000 Annually

100% Remote (U.S.)
