Job Description
The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. They bring technical thinking to break down complex data and engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. They collaborate with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.
The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.
Responsibilities
- Analyses the feature specifications and determines the required testing activities.
- Develops comprehensive test plans for features adhering to performance, scale, usability, and security and customer requirements.
- Reviews the test plans with all stakeholders and incorporates feedback/comments.
- Executes test scenarios from comprehensive test plans for features adhering to functionality, performance, scale, usability.
- Automates test scenarios and ensures they are integrated in automated regression facilities.
- Contributes towards innovation and integration of new techniques and tools into projects.
- Contributes towards reproduction of customer issues, tests the fixes, and ensures smooth deployment of the fixes in production clusters.
Knowledge And Skills
- Networking & Security: Strong understanding of the OSI model and networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, HTTP, DNS, and VLANs, as well as familiarity with SAML, SNMP, GRE, IPSEC, Syslog, MDM, and SSH. Skilled in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex network orchestration, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and cloud deployment network solutions. Proficient in route/tunnel orchestration solutions, IDPS, threat modelling, security practices, and Cloud products/IaaS (AWS, Azure). Experienced in log analysis, issue debugging, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to address customer/field issues. Expertise in configuring a wide range of security devices, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDPS, switches, and routers. Strong proficiency in data networking, encompassing Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, routing, and WLAN technologies. Practical experience with configuration and testing of Active Directory, LDAP, and other authentication sources.
- Virtualization & Cloud Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with VMware, KVM, Hyper-V. Experience testing Security/Cloud products (AWS, Azure). Knowledge/Experience in testing applications for Public Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Cloud). Exposure to container-based technologies and Kubernetes. System load and performance testing expertise. Experience with load/performance test systems such as Breaking Point and Spirent. System scale, performance and/or solution-level testing experience. Strong command of Linux CLI commands and Bash scripting.
Education And Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
- Desirable: Master’s degree.
- Typically, 4-7 years’ experience.
