Cloud Solutions Architect - SME
About the role
The Cloud Solutions Architect - SME will design a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture using AWS services. They will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to create and manage infrastructure. The candidate will set up development, test, and production environments, including AWS accounts, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems. They will also design and develop databases, including schema design, data modeling, and data migration. The role involves configuring CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing, developing the application, deploying it to the production environment, setting up monitoring and logging tools to track application performance and identify issues, performing ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes, security patches, and performance optimizations, and maintaining documentation and performing knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Design a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture using AWS services.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to create and manage infrastructure.
- Create and manage development, test, and production environments, including AWS accounts, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
- Design and develop databases, including schema design, data modeling, and data migration.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing.
- Develop the application.
- Deploy the application to the production environment.
- Set up monitoring and logging tools to track application performance and identify issues.
- Perform ongoing maintenance, including bug fixes, security patches, and performance optimizations.
- Maintain documentation and perform knowledge transfer to ensure a smooth handover.
Requirements
- AWS Cloud Expertise and familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Experience in designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.
- Experience with database design, development of database tables, views, queries, and management, including complex relational databases, SQL databases in RDS, and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Front-end Development skills, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Qualifications
- A clearance level of Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- Subject Matter Expert skill level.
Skills

Pay
Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually
