At WelbeHealth, we serve our communities’ most vulnerable seniors through shared intention, pioneering spirit, and the courage to love. These core values and our participant-focus lead the way in everything we do.

About the role

The Cloud Solutions Architect leads enterprise-wide planning, design, development, and implementation of cross-functional, multi-platform applications systems in support of organizational information needs and operations. This role develops application architecture and blueprints, defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools, and provides technical guidance to application development teams. The Cloud Solutions Architect consults on integration and conversion issues, participates in mapping technology-independent applications architecture to applicable technology platforms, and monitors internal application/software development projects to ensure adherence to development methodology and alignment with business strategy.

This role sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, cloud technology, healthcare interoperability, and digital products — shaping scalable technology solutions that support WelbeHealth’s growth while ensuring alignment across applications, platforms, integrations, security, and broader enterprise technology strategy. It is highly collaborative and hands-on, with broad exposure across business and technology teams, navigating complex systems, evolving healthcare standards, and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship to team members in technology supporting WelbeHealth participant and consumer digital products and services.
  • Provide leadership for company staff, Information Technology staff, and various committees to drive successful technology planning, investment decisions, and implementation.
  • Share best practices and update technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies and knowledge of recent, current, and upcoming products and solutions.
  • Perform hands-on solution architecture design work and actively participate in design and code reviews to ensure delivery of desired business outcomes and alignment to enterprise standards.
  • Ensure Technology Platform solutions are aligned with corresponding roadmaps.
  • Review, communicate, and interpret HL7-defined standards for interoperability to meet CMS health surveillance requirements.
  • Evaluate project needs, risk analysis, testing, monitoring, and potential security issues.
  • Conduct meetings with key system owners and external collaborators to understand current systems environments, evolving standards-based messaging, and resolve application services issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience; additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Solutions Architecture Certification (Azure Preferred).
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of information technology design, development, and support experience.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with application solution architecture design and end-to-end software development of complex distributed (multi-tiered) systems.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycles, including design, analysis, testing, and implementation; experience in large-scale project planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple development platforms, languages, and technologies; expert-level skills in multiple software development disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of diverse data, content, and media types (e.g., structured, relational, audio, video, graphic, geo-mapping, social media, XML, JSON).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare or health plan industry, including X12 payer transaction set and health plan/payer data model.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with an EMR (EPIC, Athena, etc.).
  • Integration Engine tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Snaplogic, etc.) experience preferred.

Skills

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Cloud Solutions Architect who brings deep expertise in enterprise and cloud solution architecture, can translate complex business and healthcare requirements into scalable technology solutions, and is comfortable working across applications, integrations, interoperability, and enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment, provide technical leadership and mentorship, build strong partnerships across technology and business teams, and help establish an architecture foundation that scales with WelbeHealth’s growth while maintaining security, reliability, interoperability, and alignment with long-term business strategy.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days.
  • 401K savings with company match.
  • Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus.

Pay
