About the role
Bowhead seeks a Cloud Solutions Architect to support the upcoming CAS Business Enterprise Systems (BES) located in Montgomery, AL.
Responsibilities
- Lead assessment of BES and mission partner applications.
- Identify migration candidates and dependencies.
- Develop target architectures, recommend service/deployment models, support cost-benefit analysis.
- Guide secure implementation in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Cloud One, or other approved cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related discipline.
- Twelve (12+) years enterprise IT experience; seven (7+) years designing cloud architectures; five (5+) years leading cloud assessments, application modernization, or migration efforts in Federal/DoD environments.
- Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert required/preferred; Cloud One/AWS GovCloud/Azure Government experience preferred; Security+ preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
Skills
- Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
- US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
